Smartgyro is designed to minimize not only unwanted movement but also downtime during maintenance. Most gyros must be uninstalled and shipped back to the factory, but our engineers can install and service Smartgyro directly onboard the vessel.

Description
Smartgyro SG20 is the gyro stabilizer of choice for boats from 45-55 ft. Ideal for both new builds and refit installations, the stabilizer can be fully serviced on-board the vessel without the need to lift out for maintenance, ensuring significant time and cost savings.
LIQUID COOLING
The liquid cooling system dissipates heat generated by the motor and spinning bearings while also cooling the inverter and hydraulic manifold.
CONTROL ELECTRONICS
The gyro control module uses motion sensors and an Inertial Measuring Unit (IMU) to monitor and process real-time boat behaviour data.
VACUUM ENCLOSURE
The sealed vacuum flywheel enclosure minimizes air drag to increase performance and reduce heat and power consumption.
BRAKING SYSTEM
The pressurized, closed loop braking system dynamically controls the gyro using hydraulic cylinders and proportional valve
MODULAR DESIGN
The Smartgyro unit can be serviced, maintained, and assembled directly inside the boat
SEEMLESS INSTALLATION
Smartgyro’s unique modular construction means the unit can be fully disassembled, creating new installation opportunities in vessels with small access spaces:
- Existing Boats – The base frame can be broken down into four parts to allow for installation through narrow access hatches, making refitting easier and more cost-efficient.
